judging a book by its cover

Some friends and I went shopping for our Christmas angel this past weekend. We were in the toy & book section of a large department store when we came across this. Now I know I am not a mom... nor am I a children's book author...but judging only the cover, I can honestly say I see nothing appropriate or educational about this book.
